The Insurance Authority, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Civil Defense, has launched the Cooperative Third-Party Liability Insurance Policy for Crowded Venues and High-Risk Activities. The policy covers establishments’ civil liability for bodily injury and property damage sustained by visitors as a result of accidents at insured premises, with compensation varying according to the nature and risk level of the activity.
Under Cabinet Resolution No. 103, the insurance will be mandatory and will become a key requirement for obtaining a Civil Defense license for applicable activities. Implementation will take place in phases across various sectors, including economic, commercial, entertainment, and healthcare activities, subject to the policy’s terms, conditions, and exclusions.
